I hope legal action is taken against these security guards for the threats made against this photographer. Disgusted.

In this video, Hamst, a proud resident of Scunthorpe who enjoys taking photos of local landmarks for the Visit Scunthorpe site confronts two very nasty security guards for the Golden Wonder factory. The guards are furious that he is taking pictures of the factory from the public pavement and they shower him with threats and abuse at one point, one of them encourages a colleague to run him down with a car. They cite imaginary laws that prohibit taking pictures of private buildings from a public place and repeatedly threaten to sic the police on him.

Kindle is most unused Xmas Present?

Considering the huge groundswell in Kindles being used in the last three weeks out there on the planes, trains and buses of the UK, I somehow don’t believe this article.

The Amazon Kindle has been ranked as the most unused Christmas present by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk after surveying almost 1,500 site users.

Absolutely love this quote from Mark Cuban’s Twelve Rules For Startups… so true. All the places I have worked that have offices, have communication issues.

Open offices keep everyone in tune with what is going on and keep the energy up. If an employee is about privacy, show him or her how to use the lock on the bathroom.

I can really agree with this with one caveat, who helps the teachers and the pupils with tech? The schools I am aware of struggle to get the best out of basic computing without getting the best out of fancy stuff.

Samsung believes that its technology can revolutionise UK schools, with the electronics giant claiming that the likes of its Microsoft Surface toting SUR40 along with tablets and laptops are powerful tools for education.

I dream of working with clients who actually treat presentations as what they are – communication through talking and demonstrating – and not the recording of all the important information points on a PowerPoint slide for later delectation. I have been listening to the sometimes Rathole of an audio Podcast called Back to Work with Merlin Mann and Dan Benjamin, and one of the latest episodes focused on the presentation with so many important points in it that I have to point it out to you. Listen to this episode at the very least.
